WHO WE ARE
The Prince George's County Young Democrats (PGCYD) are the official youth arm of the Democratic Party in Prince George's County, Maryland. PGCYD is the voice of party advocates under the age of 40. A local chapter of the Young Democrats of America and the Young Democrats of Maryland, PGCYD is the largest youth-led, partisan political organization in the county. PGCYD works to organize and mobilize young people under the age of 40 to participate in the electoral process to elect Democrats, influence the ideals of the Democratic Party, advocate for progressive issues, and train the next generation of progressive leaders.
OUR GOVERNANCE
PGCYD is governed by an elected Executive Board to a term of two years. The highest decision making authority in PGCYD is the General Body Membership. All groups and bodies are bound by the confides of the bylaws.
